MAY by Marcus Werner Hed and Jens Laugesen

"May" is an intellectual interior portrait of a woman who expresses emotions as opposed to normal acts of seduction. The film takes its inspiration from Danish 19th century painter Vilhelm Hammershøi’s work, specifically from his painting "Portrait of a young girl".
As homage to Hammershøi’s silent abstract interiors, the short film is a static shot of Danish model May Anderson, combined with abstract shapes originating in the design of Jens Laugesens autumn winter 0607 collection. Announcing the INTERIØR trilogy, the film was showcased for the JENS LAUGESEN presentation at the EURO RSCG gallery in Paris Fashion Week in March 2006 with a simultaneous on-line screening hosted by SHOWstudio.
